La Hacienda TRod Longhorns

Tim & Lois McCreary

La Hacienda TRod is the home of Tim & Lois McCreary in Able Springs, TX just outside of Terrell, TX. Tim had a life long dream to own longhorn cattle one day and after a career with the railroad and then in the gun business, they have been able to make his dream come true. Outside of their love for longhorns and their desire to maintain the integrity of the breed, the life and people that it has brought with it has made it even more special. Tim and Lois have hand-picked their longhorn cattle for many different reasons, some that go beyond bloodline, but the fact remains there are some proven genetics in this young herd that will come into their own with time. The herd has a wonderful disposition…some due to their genetics but also due to the amount of time Tim and Lois spend amongst them. Their longhorns are a big part of their family, along with their children, grandchildren and pets.

Norris Productions.webp

Norris Productions

Joel Norris

Norris Productions began in 2004 with one riding steer, Measles Revenge. As business boomed, growth was imminent, and Norris Productions expanded their ventures to working back pens at loose events. It was not until 2015 that it was decided that Norris Productions would begin placing bids on Non-Haltered Shows, the first of which was the upcoming TLBAA World Show. After getting the bid on that initial event, held at the historical Will Rogers Coliseum, Norris Productions worked the three following shows up until the event was moved to Belton, Texas. Norris Productions then also worked the first TLBAA World Show in Belton, Texas, and recently worked the last, as the event moves again. Over the last several years, Norris Productions has grown tremendously, from working local affiliate shows like the CTTLA Spring Shootout and NTLBA Spring Show to working Horn Showcase and the ITLA Championship Show.

Additionally, Norris Productions has continued to expand and develop the riding steer aspect of the operation. Purchasing and raising steers, Norris Productions has provided Texas Longhorns for parades, opening ceremonies, grand openings, and more! They have had the opportunity to join photo sessions and even entire church services. They have been fortunate enough to work events in Kaufman, Terrell, Mesquite, Eustace, San Antonio, San Saba, Caldwell, Valley View, Ennis, Hubbard, Corsicana, Tyler, Shreveport, and more! We have also partnered with Cross T Ranch of Bandera, Texas, owned by Russell Tiner, to expand our ventures. As well as, The STCC Brand, Scissortail Cattle Company, and Scissortail Designs of Frost, Texas, owned by Hailey Mann, to better our operations and development.

Lawrence Longhorns.jpg

Lawrence Longhorns

Russell, Stephanie, Reece and Madison Lawrence

Lawrence Longhorns was founded in 2020 by Russell and Stephanie Lawrence. They have 2 adult children, Reece and Madison. The Lawrences both grew up in rural Oklahoma. They spent their early years of marriage in Fort Worth before eventually returning to the country lifestyle, purchasing a small property where they would start their ranch in Weatherford, TX.

The Lawrences started their Registered Texas Longhorn herd in a slightly unconventional manner by purchasing a foundation bull (PPF Noehl) before purchasing any females. In the months and years that have followed, their focus has been on selecting cattle that bring in both correct body structure and horn length in an effort to produce show-quality animals and fresh farm-raised Texas Longhorn beef. Their daughter Madison has been highly involved in their journey, from breeding selection and day-to-day chores to showing in both youth and open classes. In fact, Madison’s show bull, Gladiator’s Commander has established himself as the Lawrences’ junior herd sire, already producing multiple flashy, well built heifers. The Lawrences, like others, also appreciate a nice trophy steer and keep a small number in their herd, which are shown throughout the show season, along with their various other show cattle.
